The Benefits of Choosing High-Quality Timber Windows
Why Timber Windows?
As consumers are becoming more aware of their environment, many are searching for natural products when choosing windows for their homes.
Timber windows produce fewer harmful greenhouse gases versus the likes of uPVC. Timber has been a long tried and tested natural material source.
When choosing timber windows today people do not have to compromise on comfort or durability, choice of style, shape or colour. Wooden window frames are often eye-catching and look stunning on any property.
While uPVC windows are the cheaper option short term, they often spoil the physical appearance of the project, especially in period homes. Timber window frames on the other hand, add long term value to a project due to the solidity and quality that are as important inside the room as outside.
High-quality timber windows now offer style, comfort, warmth and durability to any home and are increasingly the first choice of architects and designers.
Cardinal Sliding Sash Timber Windows
The timber used to manufacture Cardinal sliding sash windows is carefully selected and treated and, with correct installation and proper maintenance, will last and give satisfaction for several decades.
Cardinal sliding sash timber windows are manufactured using only the highest quality knot-free timber with Sapele hardwood sill and a moisture content of 12%± 2 to extend the lifespan of the window. All Cardinal Window products are marked with CE stamp ensuring the highest quality and value.
The pine wood used to manufacture Cardinal sash windows consists of a minimum 60% heart-wood from sustainable forests in North Scandinavia where the trees grow slowly and naturally and no fertilisers are used.
We use only laminated triple-layer wood. Three layers are used because this technology prevents the window frame from warping and increases the lifetime of the windows. The outer layers are radial or half – cut and this method protects window surfaces from wood splitting.
Our professionally designed and manufactured windows are delivered fully finished and glazed prior to careful installation – giving our clients a high-quality product which will benefit their homes for years to come. Cardinal Windows offers a warranty of up to 10 years on all of our window products.
